massive sandstone cliffs of the Northern Drakensberg. The thatch accommodation
and facilities blend beautifully with the natural surroundings of the area.
The Cavern is home to numerous Bushman paintings, 213 species of birds, 150
species of trees and numerous wild animals.
This Drakensberg resort offers daily guided hikes to such wonderful destinations
as Thonsela Cave, Cannibal Cavern, Echo Cave and Sungubala amongst others.
For the more energetic, walks are organized to the Tugela Gorge and to the
top of the Amphitheatre. The Cavern offers an extensive range of sport and
recreational facilities, from guided walks to horse trails through splendid
scenery, jeep trips and trout fishing in five well stocked dams.
