Adult Rides
The Cobra
One of the most challenging of the rides is The Cobra, a suspended looping
coaster which catapults riders from a height of 34m along 910m of track at up to
four times the force of gravity and speeds of close to 100km per hour. Adding to
the thrill of the ride is the suspension of riders beneath the track, feet
flying free. This ride is not for the faint-hearted.
The Slingshot
The latest ride addition to Ratanga Junction is the Sling Shot, a high
adrenaline ride rated as one of the most thrilling extreme rides in the world.
Combining elements from skydiving and hang-gliding, the Sling Shot skycoaster enables "flyers" to enjoy the exhilarating sensations experienced in these two sports without it being cost prohibitive or requiring training. All you need are nerves of steel.
The Tarantula
One of the newest of Ratanga's attractions, this high adrenaline ride has two
giant arms that gyrate and toss riders in a whirling motion to a height of 16m -
four and a half storeys high - before sending them in a terrifying downward
twisting spiral to within a metre of the ground and then up again.
Over-the-shoulder harnesses, similar to The Cobra, secure riders, who sit 24
abreast on a double-sided gondola, for the gut-wrenching ride. A challenging
thrill ride, The Tarantula, is only recommended for those with cast iron
stomachs.
Junior Rides
Bar-One Bushwacker
Presented by Nestle'. A family coaster ride through the jungle. Fun for the
whole family and an ideal initiation into the world of roller-coasters.
Diamond Devil Run
A "runaway mine train" rollercoaster, similar to those at Disney in Orlando and
Paris. A medium thrill family coaster where there are "No Brakes, No Limits !".
Water Rides
Monkey Falls
With a drop of 18.5 meters, this is one of the highest log flume rides in the
world and is among the most thrilling of the rides in the park.
Crocodile Gorge
A rapid river ride through a man-made gorge and jungle and under a crashed
aircraft. Dodge the waterfalls, brave the gorge and hope you won't be the one
who gets soaking wet. A great family ride.
Other Entertainment
We have a feast of live entertainment on offer over the December/January holidays, including music by the Cape Minstrel group, The Song Spinners, snake shows and a stunning new bird show involving both exotic birds and birds of prey, from a Pelican through to parrots and from owls to falcons. There are an abundance of restaurants and refreshment venues throughout the park.
